WHAT IS CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent compound naturally found in hemp plants. The first is THC, the well-known active ingredient in marijuana. CBD, however, does not get you high; it is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that works with the endocannabinoid system in your body.

This system of receptors helps keep your body in rhythm through its regulation of things like mood, sleep, inflammatory response, immune system function, appetite, anxiety levels and more.

Cannabinoids like CBD and THC interact with the endocannabinoid system at two receptors: CB1 (mainly found in the brain) and CB2 (found in the immune and gastrointestinal systems, as well as the brain and nervous system).
